timing belt
whats the longest amount you can use the stock original timing belt, years ? miles i.e ?
just curious, timing belts,is it something that can be changed by a regular person who knows about engines and done work before,or its better to take it to a certified mech,to have it switched? |

depends...many variables can change the length of time
you can do it yourself...but its the biggest pain in the ass... I take mine in for it...expensive but I think the price reflects the hassle |

yeah i would do my timing belt by myself but i am mechanically inclined. if you are just getting into the scene better have a mechanic do it. and honda says up to 90k miles or 6-7 years for the belt. mine went to 115k with no problems when i had it changed
