Artificial tree. But it won't be up this year as we are in a temp residence for the next few months till our house is built. And it's packed away.

artificial...mom and I are allergic to the real deal. And yes we decorate...my stepdad is smart and stays out of the room when my mom, sis and I do the tree. We put all Hallmark ornaments and homemade ones that my sis and I made when we were little on the tree. Mostly Hallmark ones though. We're all 3 avid collectors.

what? am I the only one that goes with the real ones? I mean if youre not hackin down a piece of nature with a saw then its not christmas! The dried dead needles always fall on the carpet and then youre still stepping on them in Febuary getting stabbed on the bottom of your foot...I wouldnt have it anyother way. Plus the fun of paying someone to take it away when its all over with..its the christmas gift that keeps on giving!

We have a real tree. I don't like fake ones, cause I like the way the real trees fill up the room with that pine smell. Our tree looks really nice, decorated like the trees you find in department stores with ribbons and ornaments that all match and are color coordinated. It looks beautiful, but I miss how we used to decorate it before my dad got remarried. We don't use my families ornaments anymore, so the tree doesn't feel as personal. Almost every ornament has a memory and it kind of makes me sad that we don't use them anymore. Christmas sure doesn't feel like it used to when I lived in my old house.
