ATTN: Hondaman-iac and others

Ok this should go in the sound forum, but Im being impulsive and am going to buy this probably tomorrow or never. So I was wondering, what is a good head unit to have? I see you hondaman got the pioneer with mp3 playback etc. I also want one with mp3 cdr capability... thats my main reason to buy. I plan on keeping stock speakers, just having the head unit for more oomph. How are the Pioneer deck's ergonomics? The stock buttons on the Highlander are huge and well positioned, how does the pioneer feel. Need to know the performance increase with stock speakers. My GF put an Alpine in her stock 98 Jeep Cherokee and damn it sounds nice now. Also, any advice on a good unit for under $300 would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind it needs to have mp3 cdr cdrw playback... dont care about motorized face or anything fancy, just want something nice. Please let me know asap cause I plan to buy tomorrow (wednesday). Thanks

wow, under 300 with mp3 player, your not looking at a very high quality deck. i had a 350 aiwa mp3 player and it sucked(took it back). hoestly kenwood decks are IMO one of the better ones out there. they have a low end mp3 player too that might be in the 250-300 range.

so far i'm happy with it.

here are the features:
-cd/cd-r/cd-rw playback
-mp3 playback
-cd changer capabilities
-XM ready
-built in subwoofer amp (70W)

i like the thingy, but the face plate is sometimes a hassle to put back on. i got it thru ebay for 280, but in stores i found it around 350-450

I got myself a kendwood deck with mp3 cdr cdrw playback for ~230US. IT's a really nice deck in my opinion.

It's a Kenwood Deck
KDC-MP8017 CD/MP3 Receiver

Receiver to be exact.

Have a look.
I paid 370 CAD or 233.435 USD to be exact.
