one more thing about a given engine handling boost... it depends where in the rev range the boost comes in... if you try to throw 10psi on any stock import car motor at 2000 rpm, it will sh!t itself out the oilpan. lots of factors involved, but up in the 5,6,7,8k range, the internals of the engine are moving in a way that is much more conducive to higher cylinder pressures. no bent rods or holes in pistons... whee!
