CD Changer Adapter For BlaupunktHU

Well, I think I did something stupid. I just bought a new alpine changer for 120 from a friend. Me being stupid I didnt check the cables. As it stands the interface cables are not compatible. I REALLY want to use the built in controls on my HU. Are there adapters for Alpine changers to non-stock HU's? Am I screwed??

(If so, I'll just use my antenna hookup w/ modulater. Yuck.)

as far as i know... you are screwed. the changers are supposed to be hooked up with decks of the same brand.

the ones that hook up to *any* deck are the FM modulating ones that sound bad.

i think your stuck with FM quality CD's.

That blows. I had an idea last night that I could get wiring diagrams for both plugs, and figure out which ones are equivelants. Then I can ghettofy my own adapter. I just need to make sure that they are of the same voltage. I dont know, though... I dont even know if they have the same number of pins!

they do not have the same number of pins and that is a highly not recommendable idea. fm mod it.

Yeah, I guess I will just use the modulator. Oh well. I'm going to wait before installing anything, cause I just bought a dual 12 hatch box that I'm buying new stuff for (better amp, two NICER 12s) and I'm going to mount the amp and changer on the box all nice and purty like.
