bought a truck

I got sick of fucking with my civic. I took the head off 3 times already and reconditioned/relapped one head. The bitch still wont start. Come to find out, the junkyard Y7 that I got is bad. It only pushed 40-60-40-90 on the compression test. My daily driver is officialy dead. So I bought a 96 Chevy S10 V6 pick-up truck, 5 speed. It has 113xxx miles on it but only paid $5000 flat. I needed a daily driver for work. Plus the truck can pull my Teg whenever the race season starts. I made a promise to myself not to fuk with this truck although the thought came to my mind about a turbo V6....:o. I will post pics soon.

The civic might get a B20 transplant, but not sure yet. I actually want to sell it if i ever come across a "known" good D-series 1.6 block. it will go back to stock. Turbo kit is practically sold already.

Man oh man Arnel...I wish you'd PMed me before doing that. I'm currently pimping an '01 Sonoma with the 4.3L V6 and ZQ8 suspension. That thing has been such an immense pain in the ass I don't even know where to start...with just less than 20K miles on the clock. But maybe you'll get lucky. I've heard some people say they've had theirs forever without a problem. Other seem to have problems the day they drive it home. I imagine they get worse with age. *sigh* I hate my truck.

Well it's better than my old family truck...a 87 Chevy uh..god I don't even know the model name. It looks like shit, the inside is shit, but 160k and the engine still strong.

I made a promise not to fuk with it. Just the regular oil change interval and scheduled maintenance. It rides smooth but the seat is uncomfortable.... i think cuz of the height.

Dude, look into the ZQ8 package for it... It makes the truck handle much better!

Mine has had a few screwy problems, but nothing major. All I care is that it runs.

lol... no swap.... no suspension package.... none of that stuff. Gotta get back on the Teg project. I'm sure I'll come across another Y8 block for a decent price. The GReddy turbo kit is gonna get sold along with every turbo related crap it has. I might even take the ground control out and sell it.

You know...I thought about a V8 swap, too. Then I looked under my hood and realized that I can't even see the rear 2 cylinders on my V6. There's seriously NO room under that hood. It's terrible. And, as a general rule for Chevy small block V8s, they're horribly inaccessable. You could put a 350 in my living room and you'd probably have trouble getting to all the plugs.

I'm really confused right now. I thought about selling the teg shell instead and put all the stuff in my civic. My civic is just in better condition, especially the interior. Plus the dark interior in my civic just grabs me each time vice the tan gay ass interior in my Teg.... i dont know... i just really dont know

isnt a teg overall just a better built car? although green w/ tan interior would keep me from driving a car too.

You can always be like meee and redo your entire interior.
I have a black dash for an LS for sale, btw. Just randomly picked it up like 4 days ago.

I get what you mean as far as the conidtion goes though. I heard about a 4dr LS with jdm HID front conv for $3500 last night but when I called the kid back to make an offer..he had sold it 15 minutes prior to my call. Like you [in a way] I wanted it so I can transfer my JDM interior out because the LS is just in better shape than my GSR. I guess that idea went down the drain quick. =/

Hey, I also have black center console, jdm door panels [black] too. . It could be fun, people actually buy the stock tan shit on ebay.

I"ve decided to keep both of them for now. I'm gonna drop a b-series motor later on on the civic. It will be stock B all motor. I like the truck. It keeps me in "check" all the time. The steering feels weird and I feel high on the road..... I'm uncomfortable... which pretty makes me drive on average traffic speed and not go in and out of traffic like I would normally do with my civic or Teg.
