Please Help
Please Help got a new skunk 2 short shifter to replace cheap old short shifter and well the 2 bolts that hold the plate that actually hold the shifter in place one of those bolts the nut is stuck on it it moves but just keeps turing anyone have any suggestions on how to get it off??? please help

Youre not turning the nuts inside the car are you? (The ones at the base of the lever) |

no its not the bolt at the end of the shifter its the 2 bolts where the ball is on the shifter do you understand what im talking about??

i had to use a vice grip to hold it in place (basically looks like needle nose pliers with a screw on it) and then have a friend turn the nut under the car. hope that helps

two actually,
if you have a rotary tool (dremel will work best) take the thin cuttin wheel and cut a nice slice in the top of the head, therefore you'll be able to use a flat head screwdrive to get it out. or weld it. Take another piece of metal and weld it to the bolt (or screw or whatever), which will hopefully hold it in place so you can loosen it from the other side (or use it to turn it). just a couple methods of how we solve some problems in my shop class ![]() hope it helps.
