Does anyone think that honda will offer the newest gen coupes at some point with a k-series motor? Considering that the engine bays are pretty much identical, with just a few differences.

possible but not very likely IMO
Coupes arent really that popular in japan so I dont think they'll go out of their way to make a specialized dohc coupe here again.

Yeah that's what I figured, I just thought because the d17 is so different from the k and they made the engine bays almost identical that they might. Oh well.
