cant beat dc's affordability and quality combo
4-2-1 design is best and stainless steel is worth it in the long run (header...you have only 1 set) |

if your hardcore and want real power gains from a header get this: http://www.exospeed.com/engine/bisimoto.htm
but you cant have a/c w/ it |

I will put my vote in for DC sports headers. I ran a 14.8 in my hatchback on the 4-1 headers (other mods too obviously). Like everyone says not the best, but a good header for the buck on a D series engine.

i believe that comptech does make a d series header and i think it adds more power thoughout the rpm range than any other but expect to pay for it. I've heard 4-1 headers are best on n/a applications and 4-2-1 are better on supercharged vehicles.

421 is better for more low-mid end where the 4-1 is more mid-high end.....picking one depends on your driving style
(Ive had both...currently a 421. I like the 4-1 better) comptech isnt the best Landscape Powercore adds close to 8whp and 3ft lbs...OC's has it, I think. (Dyno'd by 3rd party) Comptech header for the ek adds 5whp (comptechusa dyno) comptech is more than $100 more than the Powercore header |

I got a chikara torkstep and I was VERY impressed with the increase in driveablity all over.. decent power gains and they're 180 brand new shipped to your door from summit...
BIG thumbs up for me... No need to spend over 200 bucks on a header unless you're limited to NA performance upgrades by a racing class... you can make more power for less money by skipping all the intake/header crap and going straight to turbo...

i like the dc exhausts better than greddy, but it looks like dc pulled them out since the merger with aem. the best of all i like the thermal rd exhausts, and i can hook you up with one of them for 490 shipped.

I dont have a dyno chart of the powercore unit...but here's a link w/ testing done by stupid Import Tuner Mag
http://www.importtuner.com/tech/0107it_pphonda/ Random Tech cats are WAAAAAAAY overpriced and they break really really easily. Read up and see what I mean. Generally whatever brand you look at will display "50state legal" or it wont. If youre still not sure just call them and ask...or check out their site directly. Most big names have carb #'s for their parts. For the money you cant beat a catco or a carsound/magnaflow cat converter. National laws on converters is that it must be there and it must function. (Old cars are exempt from them since they came out in the 70's). If you want full details you can find it online or by calling your secretary of state or popo's. |
