I am now a proud new owner of...
...a Canon Digital Rebel with the kit. The camera isn't fully mine as most of it my parents paid for. Basically we first bought the Kodak one with 10x optical zoom but that turned out to be a shitty camera. I was able to arrange at work that I can exchange it even though I was past my exchange period. After taxes, 256 mb high speed card and a 3y warranty, it came out to 1100 after taxes, when the camera online goes for ~1000 before taxes. Battery just finished charging so I'm about to start playing with it

It'd better for $1100...but then again Juv lives in Canada so I'm not sure if he meant $1100 CDN or USD. USD would be less. Those cameras are uber sweet but they're out of my price range. Like many hundreds of dollars out of my price range.

haha thanks. that was on auto mode also. I haven't touched any manual controls yet as I'm lost since I'm new at this. Give me time though, and I'll be snapping insane pics left right and center. :P That was in USD btw.

That picture certainly brings out the plastic-like sheen of those plant leaves ;-)
Nice camera man. Have fun with it - I know we've done all sorts of crazy stuff with ours. - Dzur |
