Well last night i let my friend drive my civic since he wanted to see how it was with the new exhaust. He was teasing me about it, about the sound it made, and as luck would have it we get pulled over!, by a statey. So he gives the bullshit, "oh your exhaust is too loud for the state of mass, (since i live in ct), and you were accelerating too quickly, blah blah. So my friend is like oh it's my second time driving stick, and i missed a gear, whatnot. So he let us go, i just figured he needed to bust some kids to make his quota. But reguardless i was wondering if i could find a different silencer for my exhaust to quiet it down a little, because whenever i'm accelerating it sounds like LeMans.

lol, yea you can different silencers. i dont know exaclty were from. maybe a local tuner shop.

lucky bastard, the cops around here are complete assholes, i'm really suprised he didn't ticket me or some dumb shit. It is a rarity if you can go for a drive around here without seeing a cop.

I never had a problem with my exhaust and it was loud as shit. I still have the silencer lying around the house somewhere so give me the measurements of ur tip and ill let u know if it will fit. I don't need it anymore so if u want it ull just pay the shipping.

he can bitch at your for accelerating too quickly? is that even illegal? As long as you don't exceed the limit, I don't think it matters how fast you get there. Am I wrong?

Diesei engine is the best than the exhaust.

I like quiet catback or exhaust. I don't like too loud like fart cannon cuz it sound rice.

Okay, i think i am retarded. No matter what i do, i can't get that dammed silencer out. I even drove the car for over a half hour like an asshole trying to heat it up and used two clamp pliers and it won't budge. Any ideas? i'd like to experiment with some different silencers if i could get it out.

acutally yes you are. i got busted for "street racing" because i accelerated faster and the dick that pulled me over was like "What have you got to say for yourself? *pulling up pants to belly button*. I was like "i wasnt racing in fact i never even actually sped i was under the limit. And he still laid out this long shit story about that its illegal to "acclerate quickly" he never ticketed me was just being a dick.

in florida you can pulled over accelerating to quickly, it falls under the category of exhibition:peeling out, cutting in and out of traffic. penalties include: huge ticket, loss of drivers liscence, arrest with jail time, and driver improvement classes(i got caught peeling out in first gear, accelerating too quickly and cutting in and out of traffic. my excuse was that my clutch sticks cause i need a new one, and i didn't realize that i was accelerateing too quickly, plus i shifted lanes twice; to pass a dump truck that was stopped. i only got a ticket for having no registration (i was on the way to get a new one cause i didn't realize that i was supposed to keep the original white card that the sticker came on!

the peeling out here and cutting in and out of traffic falls under (peeling out) illegal start, endangering the public (they assume that rolling tires might cause them to explode off the rim and kill someone. the cutting in and out falls under reckless driving and endangering the public again.

Yea I got an idea for ya.. take the fart can off the car. Realize its just a civic and not a race car. Then you wont ever have this problem again.
