Don't do things half asked.
Do it properly. Get shocks.

Exactly. It depends on the condition of your struts. There's no magic number that lets you know how long they'll last. Replace them now for better handling.

^ Agreed. No matter what shape your shocks are in you should always replace them with more performance-minded pieces before lowering your car. Even if you stick with the stock stuff you won't have anything close to the gains you could have with a set of performance shocks/struts.

^agreed. I didn't listen to my bro when i got my coilovers and i had him install them on my car with stock shocks. The car bounces like a bitch and the handling is GAY. Wait a few weeks and get shocks it willl well be worth it.

if your gonna get the springs installed and you have the struts out, you might as well pop in some aftermarket struts, so when the time comes you don't have to do the whole job over again...unless you like the hassle..

also, suspension upgrade is something you don't want to go half-assed, as already mentioned. if your gonna do it, do it once and do it right!

Exactly. KYBs aren't Konis by any means, but they're pantloads better tha stock and a lot cheaper. Konis are pretty much the end-all-be-all in suspension stuff...but that's reflected in the price too.
