Went street racing last night...

Well, last night me and a couple of other guys got together and then headed about half an hour away to the street races, about 11 PM. In our group there was:

1) 2003 Civic Si
2) VW Jetta 2.0L
3) My del Sol Si
4) '87 Firbird (don't ask)
5) VW w/ a 1.8L Turbocharged & boost controller

So we headed up and pulled up in this Wal-Mart parking lot. Wow...so many nice cars. About 50 to 60 cars lined up, with quite a few bikes. Among other things, I saw:

1) Triple-black Supra turbo, and an older-gen white Supra...VERY nice. Lots of work done to it.
2) Dodge Viper
3) 4 or 5 old restored and tricked out Pontiacs (firebirds, etc...)
4) A genuine Type-R Integra
5) 3 Roush stage 3 Mustangs
6) A very nice turbo RX-7
7) Assorted Civics and Accords
8) a lot of crotch rockets

I only took one pic though, because I'd look gay/stupid(whatever) running around taking pics of people's rides. But it was awesome...I didn't race though. I didn't know there were so many cars in the KC area.

Nice! Me and the boys useto do a lot...here in O-Town we call it "La Fiebre" (translation: the fever) It got to the point where every time we got together, a fight broke out or someone bumped or wrecked their car, or the cops came...It was ridiculous...I wish we could all just get along without worrying about who's car is faster than whatever...Bottomline...usually the person with the fastest car will lose in a fist fight...

But I'm glad that nights like the old one's still happen.

here at HS Tuners we shun street racing, yet we have a "recent kills" section which suggests racing, interesting

the geekz0r (11:04:16 PM): so 2nd pulls like 1st in the 5speed, 3rd is like 2nd, etc.
PortugeeTex (11:04:26 PM): so whats 1st like then?
the geekz0r (11:04:49 PM): 1st is like hitting a cheeta in the ass with a tazer
PortugeeTex (11:04:53 PM): lmfao

Because I took that pic before we left for the races earlier in the afternoon.

Yes, I do live in a rich area, or rather close to one. Leawood Kansas is one of the richest areas in the U.S., believe it or not. There are a lot of cars that Daddy bought. However, I bought my own.

So yes - all those cars were actually there.

AND FURTHURMORE - Sorry, but quit flaming me for going to a street race. It's much more exciting, and I was only watching anyway....I've only raced 4 times in my life, and that was down the highway against a Cavalier, MR-2 nonturbo, Civic LX, and a...something else I forget.

hmm racing..... I feel racing is bad, but if you're in a seculeded area where nobody else can get hurt for the most part and you know your limits and aren't stupid about it, and not going rediculously fast, then it's not awful. I'll admit, i've done my racing but it's like drinking, do it responsible, preferable in small amounts and where nobody can get hurt. just don't be stupid
