I did a test and tune with some Wilwood brakes at a road track a little over a year ago. I didn't have the full zoot kit (13" rotors, 2 piston calipers...same as my Baer tracks), but what they put on there (I tested them for a shop some friends own) was a joke compared to my Baer track brakes. Now...I haven't experienced their high price kits with the 6 piston calipers...that'd probably snap your neck. But just their basic setup was pretty lackluster.

Also a mildly big issue a LOT of people have with them is they have no "dust boots" covering/protecting the piston.. this can cause pre-mature scoring or even malfunction...
The couple of people I've talked to with the front disk kits for civics have been VERY impressed with them... I'd seriously recomend getting rear disk though... the stock ex brakes can lock up the fronts already... so upgrading is pretty pointless imo until the braking is more balanced.

You don't exactly get peak braking performance with brand spankin new rotors and calipers anyways.
But does anybody know how much of a difference there is between broken-in sets and new ones? b |

my friend has huge front rotors(i think bigger than 13... he needs 18's) and 4 piston cal. and 2 piston 11 or 12' in the rear on his 300z and it stops on a dime. i love his breaks... and yes wilwood setups.. front and back

It depends on the pads. Some come pre-bedded and other you have to do on your own. Bedding pads isn't too hard, but if you don't do it on a set that requires it, you'll be disappointed the whole time you've got the pads.
