Bowling For Columbine

Ok...Ijust bought and got done watching this movie and have to say it's changed my view of America....slightly. I knew we were evil vindictive bastards before but this movie is just insane. It could be because I despise the religious right and think it's insane that other countries with just as many guns have about 400% fewer murders than we do (and I'm a fan of owning guns)...but regardless of Michael Moore's ill-timed and poor taste oscar acceptance speech everyone should see this film. Absolute genius. It's hilarious (and piss poor) how Dick Clark and Charlton Heston act like total douche bags.

Someday, in the event that mankind actually figures out what it is that this world actually revoles around, thousands of people are going to be shocked and perplexed that it was not them. Sometimes this includes me.

I agree to some extent. I was sickened by Moore's agenda being shoved down my throat just as much as the rest of the tragic figures and images.

I'm not sure I saw it as an agenda so much as a wake up call. So many people don't know how real the problems discussed in the movie are. But you're right...some of the footage they obtained was very disturbing. I guess it serves to drive the point home that we do what we want whenever we want to.

i thought that movie was just crazy at first...all those Michigan places that he was at, Ive been to and know exactly where they are (once i get into the area...)
I thought it was pretty decent overall, made a lot of valid points...that were almost all 1/2truths. But I still liked it
