If you're serious and you have fuel control or a carb'd car I can tell you how to make one for under 50 bucks... (probobly under 20 if you got parts laying around)...

It's easy...

but it'll DESTROY your cat.

You just drill a hole in the exhaust by the tip (after your last muffler/resonator) weld in a nut that a spark plug will fit into... then as far as powering it there are different ways...

Some just run a wire from one cylinders sparkwire to it... others use an independent triggering system... I would probobly just get a cheap second hand coil and run a second wire off your ignition signal power to it... interupted by a switch...

If you have fuel control it's better because you don't have to run rich constantly... it's also VERY hard to get to work right that way if you have a cat... it's also VERY VERY dangerous to run around running as rich as you have to to get flames when the plug is firing...

If you don't run a cat and are running realatively rich (like most people w/o cats do.) it'd probobly be enough to not bother adding any more fuel...

Oh and I think some companies are offering propane tanks that add the fuel but that's getting a little nuts imo... just ghetto rig something... it'll work...

Oh and you'll probobly be arrested in a matter of days if you EVER use it to get someone to back off your tail.
