Wtf......

Okay I really need to vent, .....I recently posted about a drunk driver hitting me. Well on Wed. I found out that this guy lied to the cop about having insurance and now I have to pay my deductable($500) to fix my car for this guys mistake. So far nothing to him has happend. Wouldn't you think someone should be in jail if they 1.) Drove drunk 2.) Ran a red light 3.)Hit a car and not even ask if they were okay 4.) flee the scene of the accident and the victim of their stupidity has to chase them down and finally...5.) lying to the officer about being insured. WTF!.... %#@$&%* redneck justice system!

They can't prove that he was the one driving but I mean.... Why in the hell would a sober person run a light that had been red for more then 10 seconds?

I had a similar situation happen to me. Hit and run accident. The police did not catch the person. I paid my deductable to the body shop, and 2 weeks later I got a refund check from my ins. co. (state farm), turns out i have uninsured motorist coverage, no need to pay deductable. Glad my ins. agent took care of me with that coverage. Look into your ins. coverage, ya might get lucky. By the way i'm sory to hear about your accident, are you O.K??

I got hit and run by some dude in boston... HE ended up getting money... I was PISSED... my car still has the bd... 2 weeks later the other front fender got hit while it was parked... and someone left a license plate number on my car.... I didn't realize what it was and by the time I did I had lost the lp #... So that side is still F'd up too....

good luck.

I would try to fail a complaint through the police station. The police should have all the information. Talk to him, tell him you want $500 to cover your deductable, or you'll take him to small claims and fuq him over.

Ok I dont get this. You said there was 2 person in the car...now someone in there was driving it. If he said it wasnt him..then obviously..why didnt the other driver get arrested/license suspended. or whatver for runnin a red light.?

Are the cops idiots?? they cant prove who drove the car??! Am I missing something here??

Actually they can prove he hit you. It's especially good if you've had a paint job done. Look at the area of collision if there are any paint from your car missing or if there are any paint from his car. The police can do a paint composite test, or something like that. And if the paint on your car matches the paint on his car, or vice versa then it proves that contact was made between the two vehicles.

I think he means the actual guy driving, not the car. It was pretty obvious that the car had hit him. It was a decision between the guy and his wife.

Yeah that was the case. I still haven't heard to much about my car yet. All I know is that I have full coverage and there is 5k worth of damage to my car. It seems like everytime I wish I had a better car for my wants....I get into a wreck and I am presented with a situation that will allow me to buy a new car, but my parents say "We won't let you buy that car....grr" Weird
