What's the best?
Ok I want to get a cheap car (looking to spend 4-5 grand) that'll run a while. Now the big thing is, I want to make it fast later on. So what's the best car to do this with? I don't like Civics, but if they're the best I'll do what I must. I want to know what's the best car that's cheap now and fast later (fast as in 12.50-13.00s) and cheap to make fast (not cheap, but cheaper than the others).

I am not sure how you feel about crx's as they are also a type of civic. One thing though is that civics especially the 4g and 5g are easily hopped up. Integras are too.

What about Del Sols? I don't mind CRXs, they're my favorite Honda actually (next to S2000's) but I also have to have a slight pretty-factor (females...you understand, no I'm not one, but I like them, and they like pretty cars).

True that, True that. No action going on without the backseat unless you got a lady that likes the center stage lol!

Ok ok enough with the comments, how hard/expensive is it to bring a Del Sol into the 12-13.00 range?

Built a hybrid engine or better know as a "Frankenstien" Shouldn't be too hard to find the required pieces as in seperate head and block.

Which engines make the best hybrid? Last time I looked at Hondas people were doing B16 heads to B20 blocks so I'm a little out of date.

I'm sick of DSMs, half of my cars have been DSMs.

This is true, there is a lot of support for dsm's. and a large market of parts. |
