No there is NO smell at all... it has WAY more catalyst area than the stocker does... it's way fatter too...

As far as the sound I'd say it was quiter AFTER I put on the cat... the header I did the other day made it a little louder (my wife noticed too) but the cat seems to have quited it right back to normal... course that could also just be the re-tightening of the header...

My only complaint is that it sits a little crooked... so any big shakes and it may knock... I'll give it a couple of days and see how it is... so far no noise though..

like I said it picked up a little power... the weirdest thing is how un-noticable vtec is now though... I mean in first and second I thought it wasn't kicking in at all... I was reving high but there was never a jolt.... in third at full throttle it jumped a little though.. definately not as much as before...

getting on the highway this morning it felt like I was accelerating a little faster... I usually floor it from 1st to 4th till I'm doing 75-80 and I wasn't nearly as far up the highway as I usually am when I hit 80 today...

I couldn't begin to guess what kinda hp it gave though... really more drivability than anything... not as much engine braking or as much need for throttle to keep it going at speed now..
