sure most are pretty confident it'll never happen and wouldn't feel too cool if they got burned by a civic but...

A LOT of the guys I know who are mechanics and SERIOUS domestic only guys (gas station owners who grew up in the 50/60's) have ALL said the same thing and had the same giddy look when they've just gotten out of a talon or eclipse gsx etc.

"WOW.... you kids are always hopping up these little 4 bangers and usually I say it's dumb but.... THAT THING IS FAST"

They have the same look that they do when they get a ride in a nice "real car".

That dude on the c5 forum who got burned (kinda) by the dude with the turbo b16 was totally impressed... course the dudes there did NOT give that kid the credit he deserved... they were all... you were on slicks he was on street tires... that's not fair...

the not fairs and excuses' afterwards are always the best...

Oh... the TURBO is why you beat me... not the fact that you have 3-4 times the displacement than me AND a better tuned engine.
