all i know is that i paid $900/month for a one bedroom apartment just of the campus of cal state fullerton. for a similar apartment in a similar location here in florida it's like half. plus gas is like .30 more expensive.

Yeah, I agree. Overall, I'm sure places like New York are more expensive.

San Fran, CA is the most expensive to live it. Or at least it was, things might have changed.

fairfield county connecticut...

You can't get a condemed house for under 100k here.. I'm being literal.. you CAN NOT GET A CONDEMED HOUSE FOR UNDER 100k.

except in bridgeport... but there are crack heads living there so... not sure you want that one.

The whole new england area is out of hand... till you get to the boodocks it's expensive as hell and even there the cost of living still gets you... 1.50 for a soda 5 bucks for a pack of cigarettes etc.

Dinner forget it.. unless (and even if) your going to redlobster you ain't getting out of a resturant around here for under 40 bucks for 2 people. It sucks... my buddy in colorodo pays 400 bucks a month for a house in colorado and I pay 800 bucks a month for a 2 bedroom apt. (and if I leave this one I won't find ANYTHING cheaper or even the same price).

Hahah, he asked what STATE, and everyone chimes in about certain cities and counties...

I would imagine, that on average, your most expensive states will be Alaska or Hawaii, due to their remote location. But asking which "state" is very broad. It really depends on the area...

nah, it still is, Marin county... you'll find a house there for nothing less than $600,000, gas is 2 bucks (the cheapest kind) and an apartment with 1 bedroom, bath, and kitchen andd living room is $1200 ....

Although I've never been to California, that would be my guess for most expensive state to live in.....tied maybe with New York. I have a friend from York, Pa who goes to Pepperdine University in Malibu, Ca and I've heard many stories on the culture and living out there. He says that Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Mercedes (just to name a few) are as common to be seen as Fords, Dodges and Hondas. All I know is that it's worlds apart from here in Pa.

you guys have no idea. I live in hawaii and everything here is expansive due to supply coming here via plane or ship which jacks up the price of everything.

I used to live in SF cali...for 13 years ,what are u guys talkin about...nothing there is expansive compared to here. I dont know about u guys but gas here hawaii has been the same for a while. 2.47 per gallon. is yours increasing or decreasing or steady??

Also you have to keep in mind that in certain areas people make a lot more, therefore the price of things just rise along with everything. So what might be expensive to you, won't be so expensive to someone some place else. I think that made sense?

And gas here is *decreasing*, it's like 1.50ish now.
