Shinanigans!

Ok, here we go.

I have a 3a racing exhaust right? It was like a $300 dollar tip, its loud as hell and the tone is deep. It was well worth the money in my book. But, now I got an offer from a friend of mine for a Tanabe G-power medallion Cat-back exhaust, yes it is discontinued, and he is charging me $150 for it. But, I dont know whether to buy it or not, because i dont know if it is going to keep that deep tone, i hate it when cars sound like bumble bees and I dont know whether this will make it sound like that or not. What should I do?

ps

I looked up the G-power medallion and its base price is like $729. but still dont know.
