well i saved the favorites from my last computer setup and copied them to my documents and settings folder on the new computer setup but for some reason i can't get them to show up in ie. Any ideas ? i am sure i am using the correct folders.

It shouldn't be in "My doucments". Just paste them to the favorites folder on the C:\.

The folder is located in C:\Doucments and Settings
Then there should be a folder in with your name on it. Double click on the folder with you name, and inside that folder is a folder called Favorites, open that one up and paste all you favorites in there, and boom your done.

that's what i meant. well i figured it out. since i have earthlink it copied my favorites and modified the regsitry to point to some folder earthlink wants to use as favorites. no biggie
