how to move out: by chris

well, i jsut went through the move out process from home.. figured i'd share the helpfull tips, and if i forget anything add it in.

1) act confused to your parents.. act like you dont know how to do anything, my mom found it real fun taking me out to shop and buy me stuff.
2) remember your home is like a giant treasure box, theres tons of things in there that may only cost $1 or 2 but when your on your own and have to buy them yourself (ie glue and scissors for paper cars) things add up fast.
3)grab paper, scissors, glue, tape, crayons, stapler, paper clips, highlighters, dishes, silverwear (2 HUGE expenses) a extra TV.. VCR.. DVD player etc.. your gonna get bored.. bottle opener!! (put a chip in my desk... dont ask)
4)if you have a mini fridge.. i hopei dont need to tell you to take it.

when moving in:

1) claim a cabinet in the kitchen if you have room mates and lable it MINE they will think that they own everything.
2)dont bother making your bed... you never will after the first time.. just throw the sheets on semi-organized.
3)hangers are easyer than folding cloths.. you can hang ANYTHING up with creativity.

eating habits:

1) beer is not a breakfast food or something to have before class
2) water dosnt cure shitfaced hangovers
3) microwaves are our friends
4) follow their directions.. the people there know how to cook thinks right
5) 8 mins on 50% DOSNT equal 4 mins on 100%
6) ramen noodles.. 12 cents a pack.. need i say more
7) steal all the snack foor from your home before you leave
8) never go shoping hungery... no one needs 2 dozen snack packs, a 120 box of pizza rolls, and 3 different types of cookies..
9) pasta pronto=good easy mac
10) the oven does work... trust me... the food even tastes better out of the oven.

in your house:

1) who ever has the coolest entertainment system rules the house
2) dishs dont clean them selves
3) laundry builds up fast

these are just the things ive observed from a month on my own now... oh.. one more thing:

1) get a loud alarm clock.. no one wakes up from a soft one after 4 hours of sleep

is it too obviouse im bored?

Haha, good advice!

Bottle opener is important. Had a couple of hairy situations w/o one... broken glass, broken chunks off of furniture
