HOLY F'ing CRAP!!!!

Just got off the phone with one of my brothers friends. He's got a mitsubishi turbo kit, ready for installation, he is a mechanic said it would fit my car. The guy he got it from said it ran like a "stg. 4" (whatever that means). So my bros friend is selling it to me for.....$350 bucks, but then I have to get a manifold built....so two questions..

A: Should I buy it?
B: How much is it to get a manifold built?

i've heardd of the 4g63 turbo fitting the f22a1 engine but i don't know about the civic. find out what kind of turbine you have and a manifold will run you 350-400

a turbo is a turbo, its the manifold that makes the difference.

You can get an old std or hf manifold and get a place to make an adapter plate.

go to homemadeturbo.com that'll get you started...

However as far as the purchase goes... I wouldn't buy a used turbo for 350... especially if people are saying it ran like a stage 4.... (this is assuming that's what your saying: this guy got a new turbo and wants to sell you his old one right?)

Ya see if it was performing all crazy then that means he regularly over boosted his turbo. that causes damage. you can get a turbo off one of those cars for 0-100 bucks no problem. that dude sounds like he's trying to make some money back that he just spent on a new turbo.

just my .02
