Angel Eyes
Do they make the "Angel Eye" headlights for Civics? You know, the ones that are on BMW's ... I have seen them for Accords on Ebay, but not for Civics.

You couldn't be more wrong. I'll get a picture up here, I just put a pair my civic and they are show stoppers. i get great comments on them EVERYWHERE I go. I just put some HID's in them and they are a tight set up.

Wow. Those look really good. They would look tight on a black car (since they have the black housing).

You'll never be able to avoid fads..... It just happens. Besides who cares what everyone else thinks so long as you like you ride.

Who cares
Yea, as long as they look tight on your hooptee, then who really cares what another loser put on his cavalier. Plus, i dont think that just any person is gonna go into an autozone and pickup 300+ dollar projector headlights

you guys are like a bunch of girls at the mall. something new comes out and it's "cool" and your "original" but as soon as anyone else gets them they're "trend followers" I can't believe that
A. You'd spend 120+ on headlights (ya yer smart) B. You'd take them off b'cuz someone else got them C. You'd actually have the balls to say "ya i bought them when they were new but now they're gay cuz other people like them. the reason they look gay now is cuz you actually looked at what they look like instead of how "new" and "improved" they were over the other crappy products that you all bought before. GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS

i am getting a set for my car pretty soon. i don't really care how many ppl have them i like them so i will get them. ya know there will always be a car with the same thing that you have no matter what you do. so if you spent the money on them why not keep them on. i am sure that you have something on your car that somebody else bought first.

angel eyes= it's about time, 92-95 stock civic headlights look like hyundai headlights. the first projectors were tight, I had them but I couldn't see for sh*t at night w/o high's. gen II's (integra look) seemed cool but would it have been impossible to make the turn signal and headlight one piece like the 96-up style? gonna get the a.e's too.

Damn Everyones sportin the angel eyes now. I feel like...FeelMyRide...its the AEs are spiraling outta control. At least no one around me has em. Im safe for the time being

I agree with the projector beam problem (hence why I have Xenon white aux lighting) but stronly disagree with the integra look on the Civic. It looks like ASS! Every damn one I see (which is very rare mind you) theyre not painted, still black, and I have to give the owners a look of dissatisfaction. They get upset 'til they see I have AEs then they feel dumb and jealous. Its sad really:o |

hey
i'd say i agree with just about everyone who has replied to this post. except that angel eye projectors are like altezzas because unlike altezzas, angel eye's look good anyway, i know there are alot of people out there that have them now, so i want to know how they like them? do they provide enough light when it's pitch black out? there are quite a few different sets for sale on ebay now, are any of them worth it? thanks Sean |

they really dont give off enough light i had to get aux lighting for real night driving where there are no street lights. But if you do get them I STRONGLY suggest a set of aux lights preferably xenon type (hyper white/blue)

what about putting brighter bulbs into the projectors?
i have a small set of fog lights, but they don't add much as far as being able to see at a distance as they only illuminate about 5-6 feet in front of the car i probably won't get a set unless they make some that can provide as much light as stock lights can i'm not one of adding looks when it takes away from performance, especially when you have to pay for it thanks for the info Sean |

brighter bulb into the projecter will melt the projects and destory/melt your wiring harness for the cars headlight system

mine are illegally bright as well and when i drive behind friends they always complain. but no regular fog lights wont help, theyre designed to only work a few feet in front of the car like your are. Driving beams are like a second set of headlights and are what are needed with angel eyes, as they are not as bright as stock in anyway, shape or form. If you really want that non-stock look I really suggest just getting the clear cornered lens and putting in some xenon white bulbs. The Honda dealership near my house is selling those kind of bulbs for less than even pepboys or murrays right now and are high wattage so they are super bright. My friend got those on his del sol and they are just about the same as another guys IS300 with HID that we know.

they come with specific bulbs. one bulb for the lows and one for the highs (ala Integra). so no you cant use the bulbs you have. And once the AE bulbs blow I think Im screwed because every place that I go they tell me that I cant get a replacement for it except through the company that made them (I dont remember who it is now )
So, honestly people, take it from one who owns a set of these; they are more pain then they're worth. If your Civic is a daily driver just get clear cornered lenses or clear 'em yourself and stick with plain old xenon H4 bulbs. AEs are only good for show not performance. |
