changing dash backlighting

Im interested in maybe changing the dash lighting of all the buttons and switch thingies in a 96 Accord and them glow red or blue (red preferrably), but I really don't know how I would be able to go about doing it, I figure taking out the middle console will help out quite a bit and I remeber how to do that thanks to an earlier post, but is there anything else I could do too??

well the back lighting of the dash is just a bulb with a blue condom and a blue screen on it' as soon you remove those and put some red leds there you will get a nice red effect.

I'm not sure what kind of rating of LED you'd want to put on there. I'd grab a multimeter to see what kind of voltage they are getting and buy some reasonably bright LEDs. I'd stay away from the blinding ones though, they'd distract you as you drive. You'll probably need to solder them into place, which is pretty easy.
