What do i need to boost?

I have a 95 civic dx automatic 4dr with CAI and 2.25exhaust pipe with 4 inch tanabe style muffler. I was wondering what else do i have to get to run at 10psi? Also, since about 7psi is safe for a stock car...how much of a hp increase will i see at 7psi and what about 10psi? Will it improve my 1/4 mile time by a lot or will i still be seeing like 20s? I am really trying to get at least 15 somehting seconds...is it possible at 10psi? Sorry for all the questions but im new to all this turbo stuff.

Given that your car's engine is in good mechanical condition, You will have to upgrade your Fuel(Fuel pump, Pressure regulators, injectors) and ignition (MSD 6A, Colder Plugs, wires, etc...) You will have to get a thicker head gasket to do 10 lbs of boost, you shouldnt really go past 8 or 9 lbs with out it. Get your car Dyno Tuned to get the most power and reliablity out of it. It would be a good idea to also get guages, etc.. I posted something before about a good setup for civics let me see if I can find it.

This is a good guideline to follow for a Strong, safe setup.

Heres some info from MatT3T4 about the setup:

MatT3T4 RECOMMENDED TURBO SETUPS

STAGE I: The Daily Driver
~Light buildup, daily driveability/reliability, inexpensive, occasional racer, mostly street legal.
--Civic SOHC; VTEC & non-VTEC

Turbocharger
>GReddy turbo kit
>GReddy intercooler kit: small one
>GReddy Type-S blow off valve

Ignition
>MSD 6A
>MSD Blaster 3 Coil
>MSD Pro Cap
>NGK Blue Wires

Fuel
>Holley 255LPH In Tank Fuel Pump
>B&M Command Flo
Exhaust
>GReddy EVO
>Random Technology Hi-Flow Cat

Bolt-Ons
>AEM cam gear

Tuning
>A'pex V-AFC: for VTEC
>A'pex S-AFC: for non-VTEC
>GReddy 2mm Metal Head Gasket
>Missing Link Check Valve

Gauges/Electronics
>GReddy boost gauge
>GReddy air:fuel meter
>GReddy oil pressure gauge
>GReddy turbo timer
>GReddy Profec A or B boost controller

---E.T.A.---
Quarter mile times can drop to as low as low 13's depending on your setup. Good tuning, ample fuel & spark, with race gas, and about 14psi will net you 13's. Safe street driving with this setup well tuned should be around 10psi.

wow! matt is just a well known dude......but anyway. RR hooked you up! u can still get a little more basic than what matt is recommending. he just wanted the engine to be safe as possible. HP increase relies on your tuning. a rule of thumb is that: 1 psi of boost is equal to 10 plus/minus 2 HP. so, a 7 psi boost can give you around 50-70 hp gain.......80hp if u get lucky and get the best combination

yeah.. I paid my Dues at SHO too.... actually that was one of the first places I started at a couple years ago.. but then kinda faded away from it, I dont need to explain why, cause you know how it is there..

But Mat knows his Turbo stuff Ill give him props for that for sure..

and yes, I agree, all that stuff maybe a but much, but like Thermal said... Its should be a really safe setup if you take all that stuff and Tune it properly..

One more thing.. Dont let all that stuff scare you.. Start small get the parts you need first just to run the stock Greddy boost setting (about 5.5 lbs of boost) and grow from there...
