Simple (cheap) way to go from RCA --> Coax?

I'm trying to hookup a cheapo DVD player to a cheapo TV with no RCAs in. Does anyone know of an adapter to do this?

Ive tried all combinations of adapters for this kind of thing
As far as I know, youre gonna have to shell out the cash for the adapter from radioshack unfortunately. But if you find something....I wanna know what it is.

I'll look into it a little more... then I might break down and buy one.

Anybody have a schematic for one? Maybe they are cheaper to build...

Either way mentioned will work. I've used RF modulators (I think I paid about $40) and just run stuff through the VCR line in inputs. The VCR line in is great if you have stereo inputs (3 plugs) and easier/cheaper than buying an RF adapter. If you're not an A/V nut a mono (2 plug) setup will work fine on your VCR. RF modulators are just too damn expensive if you've already got an RCA capable VCR. You could probably build one with electronics warehouse parts...but it'd be a helluva lot more complicated than just breaking down and buying one.

I usually am an A/V nut, but this is just going in a bedroom on a 13" TV Hence me not wanting to spend too much money.

I'm the same way. It's funny...I used to have this nice expensive 4 head VCR that I used for years and then suddenly everything was RCA and the VCR only had mono plugs. I didn't think it mattered and used it without fail for a few years. When it came time to get a new one I bought some cheap piece of junk with stereo plugs and was just about floored...I was hearing all this shit I'd never heard before cuz it was on the other channel. Lol.

I wasnt aware that you could connect a dvd through vcr's now...
The last time I checked...and tried...all I got was a totally scrambled signal. It was the copy protection built into the dvd player's hardware...I mean I got scrambled signal when there was no dvd in the tray too.

The VCR just acts as the converter, it shouldn't process the signal at all using this method. I'll try it out sometime soon and let you know if it works.
