body kit or notw
how many of you guys out there (just outta curiosity) are supporters of the body kit? i say no thanks. it looks cleaner if it's just dropped without 20 lbs of stuff added, IMHO. just wanted to get the general opinion.

20lbs of stuff added? in most cases, a fiberglass bodykit weighs less than factory pieces. urethane is about the same weight.
i like bodykits that compliment the lines of the car, otherwise its just ugly. |

i'm not really a fan of body kits. if anything i like maybe a front lip, side skirts, and a rear valance. i think a simple clean looking car that hauls ass looks the best.

I'm not a big fan of kits, but if its a clean looking, subtle kit, I'm all for it.

My body kit weighs 8 lbs more than my stock bumpers and skirts. Do you know how much 8 lbs is going to slow me down? It's not, not one bit. 8 lbs won't make a noticeable difference, 20 lbs would hardly be noticed if at all.

I usually don't like body kits that don't suit a car. I find myself in a situation now becasue some retard cracked my factory one in a parking lot so its actually a little cheaper for me to go with an aftermarket part. I'm still undecided what to get. Any suggestions on where to buy one?

i am not a big fan of bodykits, i might put a front and/or rear lip on my car and thats about it. however, thats my style and as long as the car is fast enough to back up the bodykit i think its alright. basically as long as it is not all show, no go . but, to each his own.

personally, i think some of those outlandish body-kits can ruin a perfectly clean car... makes me sick. not to mention, they represent the stereotypical rice-rocket that everyone seems to hate (along with those huge spoilers).

You heart them, so im presuming you love them right... Since love usually comes from the heart?....
I for one, like body kits I never had one yet though, i still have not bought my car... But i think ill be getting a kit to go along with it.... But first i will consentrate on the motor, handling, then looks.... I most likely will be getting a 92-95 civic hatch back.... |

IMO, no kit looks the best, unless you have a 92-96 Lude. I bought my sister a front end because I didn't like the way her front end looked(stock). A lip kit can look great, and I tend to like JDM a bit more. My old Integra was black, lowered, rims, and had a Wings West RS racing sports kit on it, damn did it look good. The new egg will have either a Spoon or Mugen lip, and if I get rich somehow, a real full C-West kit will go on the car(the car will still be used for show purpose, and authentic JDM kit=a lotta points if done correctly)

o0o so you're saying this "JDM" manufactuer is the new ill favor? Do they make rims? Cuz I need some mo' chrome cuz deez 15in Spoon wheels I got just ain't bling blinging enough. jfwy, let him buy whatever he likes. sooner or later he'll grow up and do it right.
