Need an answer immediately!!

Ok. I recently put my xbox into my car so my passangers can play games or watch a dvd while we're on roadtrips. Anyways, my distributor blew and it was like $775 to get replaced with parts and shop fees etc. My question is, does having too many electronic accessories have anything to do with my distributor getting messed? I have my xbox, monitor, underbody neons, inside neons, sound system, etc all hooked up to my car. I need to know this right away because iam going to a car show and i would like to install all this stuff again...but if it has anything to do with my distributor, i'll leave it out. (p.s. i' mlike 98% sure it doesn't have anything to do with it)

It shouldn't have anything to do with it.

But like hondaman said, get a better battery to support all that. It can take a toll on your alternator.

but you cannot have a yellow top as a starting battery, only red top. get a yellow top and make that a show battery or something in the trunk, if thats what your going for

You can use the Yellow Tops as a primary battery. There's 2 flavors... Dark gray casing is the one you would use. The light gray casing is more for a second battery setup.

i would also check to see if you could get a higher amperage alternator to charge the battery up. you might end up killing the alternator.

edit: try to add up all the things on your car that you have added and add up the amp's that they use, if your total is more than the stock output of the alt. then get a bigger alt. that will help you keep from killing the battery sooner.
