Just do it!! It's a great way to learn what your car is capable of. I highly recomend watching one event b4 participating. Also check with your local club to find out if they put on a drivers school. I've been autocrossing for 2 full seasons--it's been a great experience!!!

I would like to get into SCCA SOLO-II, but I'm afraid the Accord isn't competetive. I drove in the Mazda Rev-It-Up event, which was pretty much an autocross as well as attended several Chin Motorsports (http://www.chinmotorsports.com) events (just to watch). Autocrossing is definately in my near future.

there never is any of it around where i live...damn motorcity hillbillies and theyre 1/4 mile strips...everywhere

who cares how fast a car can go in a straight line...if they were meant to do that...they wouldnt have steering wheels...they'd just have a button that said "Go"

sorry...went on a rampage

I'm too bugged out about other R-tards F'ing up my car...

not to mention me messing it up... you BEAT your car when you auto-x it... I beat my car hard enough driving around...

I've been thinking about doing it for YEARS (I've wanted to go to skip barber just about every year since I was 13) but this year is definately out...

If I can get a friggen job and have some extra money I'm probobly going to pick up a car for it... probobly not a civic though.

about the only thing that gets "beat" at an autocross is the tires, (if they are not inflated right). At first, go slow, then progressivly try to go faster, remember (smooth=fast) when it come to an autocross. Good Luck.

Also, cars that are occasionnally tracked are usually better taken care of. The fluid levels are maitained, as well as the oil, tires, suspension, etc... I wouldn't think twice about buying a car that was used for AutoX.
