Just bought UT 2004

the game is awesome. Of course it bears a striking resemblence to 2003 (which might have something to do with its relatively low cost; no development!). Onslaught mode is great, especially with the other levels. I was getting real sick of playing the same demo level over and over. I would recommend going out an buying this game right now. It was only 29.99 at beast buy, and that was the dvd special edition, with the headset.

The copy protection on this game is VERY good. I tried several different modes of attack, and it caught me everytime. It seems to know when youre emulating it, and tells you to f**k off. There are no no-cd cracks out yet of course, but it shouldn't take long. Its not that I want to make copies and crap, its just that I have a problem with using my master discs; I always make backups or images.

Just for fun, I grabbed a couple of primers on cracking. Just because I think I could probably develop my own no-cd exe with enough time and effort. We'll see.
(I'm sure now I'll be flamed for even mentioning cracks...)

yeah, both the dvd se version and the standard version is out. if you can, get the dvd se version. Its ten bucks cheaper and you get the head set, and a bonus disc with level building tutorials.
