Venom 400

I'm about to buy this chip and install it. I saw it on ebay for 300. Can anyone tell me how hard it will be to install? the product says it comes with instructions and only 30 mins to install. It also said only four wires. Is the brand of this chip good? Does anyone own one of these?

all its gonna do is advance ignition timing for like a 3hp gain, you can do that yourself. that thing is a waste of money, imo.

WHAT!?!?!? I thought paying 300 bucks for a chip would do more than that..... what c hip should I get then? I think I can install a chip if its not too hard. Afterall I did do my sound system, i actually dented the dashboard but bought a new one off e bay for 100 and sold the old one for 65. What can you say, everyone makes mistakes. Well to get to the point, I see cheap chips selling on ebay for as low as 10$ and state that it adds 15 hp or so. Is there any good chips at all, that will actually gain hp that you can feel?

nope, there's no chip that can give any significant gain in power.
all they can change is ignition timing and fuel, but with out adding air more fuel isnt gonna do anything.

Why not do some reading before you make another "Im gonna spend lots of money on stupid mods that wont do anything" post?

ALL this stuff has been covered here before...search and you'll find what youre looking for.

Oh...and stop believing the hp#'s that you see mods give you. In reality its more like 1/2-1/3...-1/4 of what they say it will give you. Actually...youre lucky if you gain anything at all.

The only times that chips will really show gains are with forced induction cars. The first thing you do to a 850 T-5 is chip it.

because a forced induction car has the ability to add more air along w/ the additional fuel.
