Fuel Pump Problems?

1991 Accord - Does not start when it is hot out. Originally thought it was a bad fuel gauge. But only ran into problem during middle part of the day, or immediately after shutting off the engine. Have read somewhere that the terminals on the fuel pump, when they are corroded, can cause this problem. Where is the fuel pump located on this car, so that I can take a look at it? Any other ideas would also be appreciated.

hey first of all it doesnt sound like a fuel problem ..when the car is cold does it start?..if yes and then after it gets hot u have this problem ? it might be the main relay or the igniter..two inexpensive parts that u can change urself ..if not get back to me and explain what else s going on with the car

sounds to me like the EFI relay which is under the dash, or the igniter which is in your distributor. these ar two common problems associated with the 4th generation accords. the igniter will run you about 100 from a local dealer. i think the 91 does not have a igniter.

here is the dist assembly for my car (92lx) http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...IBUTOR+%282%29

and here it is for the 91 lx( i assumed it): http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...1%29+%28TEC%29
