Replacing Front Wheel Bearings on 96 Civic EX? Help?

Has anyone ever replaced the front wheel bearings on a 96 civic EX (or any other year that's the same)? I was going to do it this past weekend, but after I took the caliper and rotor off, I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get the hub out. From looking at it the only thing I could thing was to pop the upper ball joint and the lower 2 ball joints, but I wasn't prepared to do that. I have a Haynes manual for my car and they don't even show this job. I have the bearings and I know they have to be pressed out and pressed back in, but I still have to get the hub off in order to do that. Any ideas, suggestions, recommendations?
Feeling pretty stupid....
