yeah, I'll correct what I said earlier, an xbox as a center peice can be acceptable, and I've seen it done. Several of my friends chipped their original xbox, and networked it with their computer in another room. Set up a shared folder and could stream movies, play pirated games, etc. It is a viable option if you are gaga over consoles. I am not, and would go the route of building an HTPC.
