Ok. First off keep in mind 100 shot is 100 HP & 100 ft/lb torque. That's a considerable amount of power. Here's the general rule of thumb.

<75 shot - Dry Kit is fine
55-80 shot - Wet Kit
Pretty much any size (usually > 50 shot) - Direct Port/Plate Kit

Are you clear on how each kit works?

The last question I don't think I quite understand. Lean is a state of not having enough fuel in the combustion chamber. Rich is the state of having too much fuel in the chamber. Neither are friendly to your engine, but a lean condition is the one to watch for since it can lead to detonation.

I wrote that thread by the way. So any input on it is welcome. the idea is for a beginner to get a better understanding.
