I know.. Hillary is going to kick some ass. My problem is who to vote for.. Hillary, Obama.. and god help me if Gore or Kerry run again. I'll never be able to decide.
Here is al-Qaeda's stated goal:

...includes establishing a pan-Islamic Caliphate throughout the world by working with allied Islamic extremist groups to overthrow regimes it deems “non-Islamic”, and expelling Westerners and non-Muslims from Muslim countries.

So if you think this will ever end regardless of Iraq think again. Denying al-Qaeda and other groups from having a foothold on an entire country have it's advantages.
