Ok here's the way to test the ECT switch, per the honda service manual.
1. Remove the ECT switch with the engine cold.
2. Suspend the ECT in a container of water and then heat the water.
3. Heat the water and check the temperature with a thermometer.
3. Measure resistance between terminals A and B.
