this post got me thinking so i did an experiment. I hooked up my boost gauge to the pre turbo intake so i could see the ammount of vacuum the turbo pulls. I found that...
from 3-4K rpm the vacuum is about 2-5"
from 4.5K to redline, the vacuum is about 6-8"
so i figure when the engine is above 3K rpm the pcv has vacuum sucking the gasses out. So i guess routing your pcv this way works pretty well too.
