That's basically what I do b4 each show. Until then I just rinse it and dry it. I armor-all the interior too. At shows, it's a good 4 hour or more procedure in the garage. usually about 3.5-4 hours over 2 days. Under the hood is a job.
Another tip for cleaning for shows. My car was spotless once, BUT I got points off for the fenderwells. The judge then gave me a tip. He said it's good to tape off everything and paint them black. I do this and my car is always the cleanest in it's class.
