I'd definatly go with the cheapest one you can find. It doesn't take more than 10-20 Ft/Lbs to engage a gear so if your breaking shifters then your just pulling/pushing too hard. a shifer could be made of wood and not break under normal opperation.. it's when kids think that slamming gears somehow makes them move faster.

well, i wasn't slamming anything. and when he breaks his shifter, it may not be right away but it will eventualy happen. he will see what we were talking about.

But thanks for the heads up on the b&m i was gonna get one and i was wondering why it didn't have the bend
