I can answer this one from experience... this might be kinda long story but bear with me..
My dad knows this guy who owns a shop where he restores mangled cars that he buys at auctions..
well my dad told the guy that I'm into cars and the guy (Alex) told me to come hang out down there and that I could work on any projects there for free..
About a month ago I bought a 92-95 CTR lip for my Sol, thinking it would fit perfectly and I took it and my stock bumper down to the shop to work on it over Spring Break. Well..little did I realize that the Civic lip is almost 2" WIDER than my stock Sol bumper!!
I had to cut it in half and wrap part of the sides around the edge of the bumper a little to make it fit but it worked...such a pain in the ass though! And LOTS of custom body work..about 10 packs of J.B. weld. I really learned a lot about body work from the project though
Anyhow, I am at school right now but will post pics later tonight. It turned out really sexy.. I love it!!
P.S. I don't know if this is true for all lips or just the CTR.
