hey, maybe it's just a Canadian thing, but for me n' the guys that I hang out with, girls are just friends, dudes. Actually, most of my best friends are chicas, and hey, I don't want to 'get in their pants' ...that would destroy that thing I call friendship... 'Course most of the people I know think that's really weird, but the girls are more than happy to be my friends, which I prefer to having them as 'girlfriends'.
