well... with my stock rotors i got brade fade like crazy. the slotted helped a bit, but your rims get MUCH dirtier for some reason. my rotors are about shot, and im gonna give cross drilled a try and see how that does. both will give you weak rotors and if you hoestly have a problem with getting them to glow orange, they might crack.ive had mine hot enough where i can touch something on them and it smolders, and about catches on fire. your right though, with cold rotors your not improving your stoping time at all, but if you beat on them, after 1 min your stoping time has slowed down, and with cross drilled you can stop a lot closer to cold rotor than blistering hot. our honda uses real thin(at least mine does, and im assuming yours are the same or thinner) rotors compaired to cars who are used more frequently in racing (skylines 300zx's nsx's rx7's supras, WRX, etc.) and i think thats why you see some of them with cross drilled and slotted. but on another board of mine, alot of the autoX'ers have had premature warping wear problems on the X-drilled and slotted rotors. just a warning
