go to remotes unlimtied they should be able to help you out if you want to buy another one. they also might be able to tell you how to reset the signal to match that of the alarm.

at least the alarm that i had way back in 1995 i was able to get a remote hold one of the buttons down and them use the other remote to set the alarm to program that remote.
