i do see some problems with your parents reasoning. yes, you are seventeen, you have three tickets. they may be crap to you, but it shows that you still got three tickets. those are very high factors with insurance and also your driving experience.
what i don't understand though is their reasoning of maturity based on gpa, that's bullshit. i graduated 7th in my class of 469 people, and got a 1480 on my SAT SCORES. but guess what, i still acted immature and like an ass..maybe because i was 17-18 y/o.
like my grandma (RIP) always told, "IF YOU WANT SOMETHING, AND SOMEONE OFFERS TO GET IT FOR YOU, SAY NO AND GET IT YOURSELF!"
BTW, in my personal opinion, but it shouldn't matter to you, i wouldn't get a car i couldn't handle yet. spend more time behind the wheel of your highlander.
