CD Changer Mounting Dilemma

okay my car is small, and packed with sound stuff already. I have a 1990 civic si. The back is full with two 12s in a hatchbox and 2 6x9s on the top rack. My amp is currently mounted on the backside of the backseat, but I'm buying a new one to mount on the hatchbox.

Now the problem is I'm looking for a place to put my alpine cd changer. Underthe seat is not possible because there is not enough clearance. If the seat were to ever be moved up, it would smash the changer. Even if I cut out the carpet under there, I wouldnt get enough room.

I've thought about the sub box, but I'm also worried about skippage. They (the subs) thump very nicely and shake the quarter panels. If I mounted a changer onto this earthquake box would it skip too badly? Anyone do this before?

Lastly I've considered the glove box. As it stands there is not enough room. I'm thinking (after some measuring of course) that if I cut into the back of the glove box I'll get the clearance I need. I'd really rahter not destroy my glove box though, so if anyone has any ideas...
