generic brand replacement parts are too much "one-size-fits-all"... honda(and any oem) design replacements bits and pieces specifically for the use they're intended. i know they're more costly, but more often than not, it's worth the extra... i worked on cars for a short while and have friends that own an exclusive honda/acura shop... they swear by dealer parts, and they're the ones that have to do warranty work if they fail...
